Emotional Freedom Technique
at VitaLife Center
Tap into your energy. Free what no longer serves you.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as “tapping,” is a gentle yet deeply transformative method that blends Eastern meridian wisdom with modern psychology. Through light tapping on specific acupressure points—while tuning into difficult thoughts, feelings, or memories—we allow the body’s energetic system to rebalance itself.
At VitaLife Center, EFT is a powerful healing tool grounded in science and elevated by spirit. Dr. Valerie Rice guides clients to release what’s heavy and realign with their natural wholeness—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
What Is EFT and How Does It Work?
Restore your body’s energy and your mind’s peace—without needles.
EFT involves tapping on the body’s meridian points—ancient energy channels recognized in Chinese medicine—while staying present with a challenge you’d like to shift. You may focus on pain, fear, grief, a limiting belief, or a past experience.
By tapping on specific points along the energy “highways” in the body (the meridians), coupled with focused, pertinent questions posed by a trained practitioner, the emotional charge surrounding an event changes, softens, and begins to leave one entirely. This is why it is called Emotional Freedom Technique, as one is no longer held captive by their emotions, thus freeing them.
As you tap, something remarkable happens:
- Your nervous system calms.
- Your body softens.
- Insight arrives.
- Old wounds loosen their grip.
- New ways of being become possible.
EFT draws from the same energy principles as acupuncture, but instead of using needles, we use fingertips—and instead of years of training, this method can be learned quickly and practiced anywhere.
The Philosophy of Emotional Freedom Technique
Everything is energy. And energy can change.
Negative emotions and physical symptoms are not random. They are signals—vibrations of disruption within your body’s energy system. EFT meets these disruptions with gentleness, awareness, and a toolset for energetic reset.
You are not broken. You are blocked.
EFT reminds the body how to flow again.
This method is about reclaiming the power to shift your emotional state, rewrite your patterns, and support your own healing.
EFT Science & Research
Backed by evidence. Trusted by those who heal.
Studies at institutions like Harvard have shown that tapping decreases activity in the amygdala—the part of the brain responsible for fear and stress.
Research from Dr. Dawson Church found a 24% reduction in cortisol (the stress hormone) after a single EFT session, with some participants experiencing up to a 50% decrease. Veterans using EFT to manage PTSD symptoms have shown a 63% improvement after just six sessions.

Surrogate Tapping at VitaLife Center
Healing energy travels where love directs it.
Surrogate or “proxy” tapping is a sacred form of energy work where one person taps on behalf of another who cannot—due to illness, distance, disability, or even age. You become a compassionate channel for healing.
This is intention-powered, Spirit-supported, and energetically attuned to those in need. Dr. Rice has seen astonishing shifts from surrogate sessions—improvements in health, emotion, and connection that cannot be explained by logic alone.
Surrogate EFT can be done via Zoom and is also available for beloved pets.

The History of Tapping
A ripple of healing that began with a single moment of courage.
In 1980, psychologist Dr. Roger Callahan helped a woman with an intense water phobia using an acupressure point on her cheekbone. Within moments, her fear and physical distress disappeared. That spark became Thought Field Therapy—and eventually, EFT, simplified by Gary Craig in the 1990s.
Today, EFT is practiced worldwide. At VitaLife Center, it’s passed on with reverence, training, and the belief that real freedom—emotional and energetic—is possible.
